Every order includes one or more bags of mini marshmallows, a handwritten card personalized with your message, a letter to the labs (from us — read it here), and packing and shipping to one of the seven primate centers.
Write a free message to the monkeys. We'll include it in the campaign delivery alongside messages from other supporters — no purchase, no catch.

Your marshmallows and card will be shipped to one of the seven National Primate Research Centers, together with a letter from all of us.
While we hope every bag reaches the monkeys, distribution is up to the labs. Every delivery asks for what the monkeys really want: a future beyond the lab.

The marshmallows are a small part. The hope behind them is much bigger.
We know many people at your facility care deeply about the monkeys. That care can become the foundation for a different future.
We respectfully ask you to begin a transition: from a primate research facility to a sanctuary, and from experiments on primates to innovative, human-based science.
That means retiring monkeys to accredited sanctuaries with lifetime care, transforming the facility into a place of refuge for those who remain, and redirecting your resources toward approaches that do not use animals.
You have an opportunity to lead innovation and be remembered for creating something better.
A treat cannot give the monkeys a future. But you can.

We are focusing on the seven National Primate Research Centers. They are among the largest primate labs in the United States, they receive substantial public funds, and together they confine over 28,000 monkeys — each one an individual, with a personality, who deserves a life outside the lab. You can meet some of them in the book Marshmallows Are Their Favorite by Lindsay Oliver.
